Como estou longe de minha família o December Daily® desse ano tem sido bem diferente, tenho descrito muito mais sobre a cidade onde estou morando. Estava andando pela cidade hoje e vi esse sebo, achei tão charmoso e inusitado suas estantes do lado de fora. Todos os livros dessas estantes estavam em promoção e encontrei livros muito bons! Quando cheguei eles estavam começando a guardar os livros pois o dia estava MUITO frio, poucas pessoas nas ruas e provavelmente pouco movimento. Mesmo assim, enquanto lá fiquei, vi umas cinco ou seis pessoas olhando e comprando livros.
Isso me lembrou da dificuldade que temos em Cuiabá para encontrar uma boa livraria, uma capital tem somente duas ou três livrarias. Todas que abrem fecham em menos de dois anos. Infelizmente a leitura de livros físicos está se perdendo na era virtual. Como isso pode acontecer? Acho maravilhoso pegar um livro, ver sua capa, as cores, folhear, sentir o cheiro do papel e da tinta da impressão... isso não podemos sentir no celular, tablet, computador.
Como amanhã vou encontrar parte da família (irmã e minha filha) em outra cidade dos Estados Unidos e ainda precisava comprar os últimos presentes, aproveitei essa oportunidade. Minha filha adora ler!

Since I am away from my family this year's December Daily® has been very different, I have described much more about the city where I am living. I was walking through the city today and I saw this bookstore, I found its shelves so charming and unusual. All the books on these bookshelves were on sale and I found very good books! When I arrived they were starting to save the books because the day was VERY cold, few people on the streets and probably little movement. Even so, while I was there, I saw five or six people looking and buying books.
This reminded me of the difficulty we have in Cuiabá to find a good bookstore, a capital has only two or three of them. All that open close in less than two years. Unfortunately reading physical books is getting lost in the virtual age. How can it happen? It is wonderful to take a book, to see its cover, the colors, to leaf, to smell the paper and the ink of the impression ... this we can not feel in the cellular, tablet, computer.
Since tomorrow I'm going to find part of the family (sister and daughter) in another city in the United States and still need some gifts, I took the opportunity. My daughter loves to read!
