Durante minha vida já mudei para onze casas e cinco cidades pelo Brasil (sem contar os oito meses que vivi em Barra do Garças e na aldeia para realizar o trabalho de campo do doutorado). É bom mudar! Isso nos traz a possibilidade de reinventar os espaços, identificar o que deve permanecer e o que podemos jogar fora, Todas as mudanças trazem aprendizagens, algumas boas e outras nem tanto.
Minha última mudança aconteceu em um período conturbado, ao mesmo tempo que compramos um apartamento, veio também minha separação. Isso fez com que eu perdesse a vontade de transformá-lo em um lar, pois minha intenção era mudar de cidade, de novo! Percebi então que, independente da minha vontade, poderia melhorar o espaço e aos poucos comecei a planejar pequenas mudanças no apartamento.
Prateleiras no quarto de minha filha, estante no corredor, retirada da cabeceira embutida na parede do meu quarto, assim as coisas foram ganhando forma e algo novo tem surgido. Tudo tem sido lento, ainda não está completo, mas é gostoso olhar e sentir que a casa está tomando vida, ouvir das amigas que é uma casa aconchegante e acolhedora. Recentemente investi na sala de estar, comprei uma poltrona e uma mesa de centro, falta ainda o tapete e as cortinas que virão daqui a pouco...

During my life I have moved to eleven houses and five cities in Brazil (not counting the eight months I lived in Barra do Garças and in the village to carry out the doctoral field work). It is good to change! This brings the ability to reinvent spaces, identify what should stay and what we throw away. All changes bring learning, some good and some not so much.
My last change occurred in a troubled period, at the same time we buy an apartment, also came my separation. It made me lose the desire to turn it into a home because my intention was to move away, again! I realized that, regardless of my will, could improve the space and gradually started planning small changes in the apartment.
Shelves in the bedroom of my daughter, stand in the hallway, removed the built-in headboard on the wall of my room, small things that were taking shape and something new has emerged. Everything has been slow, it is not yet complete, but it's nice to look and feel that the house is coming to life, hear from friends that it is a warm and welcoming home. Recently I invested in the living room, bought a chair and a coffee table, still lack the carpet and the curtains that will come in a bit ...
