Elevazione, obra de Giuseppe Penone localizada em Inhotim, demonstra o equilíbrio entre o artístico e o natural. É uma escultura em bronze de um tronco de castanheira, presa a terra por pés de aço. Estes pés se mesclam com cinco Guaritá (árvore da região) dando a ilusão de que a escultura está no ar.
Ao rever esta foto pensei sobre a vida, a vida conectada por alguns cabos de aço. Vai fazer dois anos que meu pai sofreu um acidente vascular cerebral e a cada dia vejo algo esvaindo de seu corpo, sem poder fazer nada. Seu corpo está se elevando aos poucos, ainda permanecem alguns fios ligando-o a terra, como nesta foto. No entanto, o emaranhado das árvores, das folhas e dos galhos farão com que esta conexão desapareça, permanecendo a essência deste tronco.
A plena atenção pregada pelo budismo nos mostra que nada é permanente, a natureza nos oferece esta percepção todos os dias, então por que nos apegamos tanto a ela?

Elevazione, a sculpture of Giuseppe Penone located in Inhotim, shows the balance between the artistic and natural. It is a bronze work of a chestnut tree trunk, attached to land by foot steel. These feet are mixed with five Guaritá (tree of the region) giving the illusion that the tree is in the air.
In reviewing this photo I thought about life, life connected by some steel cables. It will make two years that my father suffered a stroke and every day I see something slipping away from his body, unable to do anything. Your body is rising slowly, still remain some wires connecting it to earth, as in this photo. However, the thicket, leaves and branches will make disappear this connection, maintaining the essence of the trunk.
Mindfulness preached by Buddhism shows us that nothing is permanent, nature offers us this insight every day, so why we cling so much to her?
