Dedico esta rosa a minha avó e minha mãe que já se foram. Ambas fariam aniversário esta semana e sempre quando chega esta época fico nostálgica. As duas eram mulheres fortes e guerreiras, minha avó com seus nove filhos criados a base de fubá e polenta no sul do Brasil. A figura da matrona com a família reunida todo final de semana. Ela me ensinou a acolher as pessoas, a tomar chá, gostar de margaridas e tantas outras coisas.
Minha mãe completaria 85 anos no dia 18. Sempre foi batalhadora, criou seus quatro filhos para o mundo, ensinou-nos o respeito, a compreensão da palavra família, a responsabilidade pelos nossos atos, a gostar de rosas, de viagens, de ler, de estudar, de idiomas...
Parabéns para vocês duas! Amo e continuarei amando, onde quer que estejam.

I dedicate this rose to my grandmother and my mother (both have died). Both would birthday this week and always when this time comes I get nostalgic. Both were strong and warriors women, my grandmother, with her nine children raised with cornmeal and polenta in southern Brazil. Matron figure with family together every weekend. She taught me to welcome people, to take tea, like daisies and other things.
My mother would complete 85 years on the 18th, she has always been a fighter, she raised her four children to the world, taught us respect, understanding of the word family, responsibility for our actions, to like roses, travel, reading, to study languages ...
Congratulations to you both! I love and still love, wherever they are.
